2017 Accomplishments

In 2017, Bike Wilmette members:

• Worked with Wilmette Park District to create Tour Wilmette community bike ride
• Received grant and bought pop-up bike lane and tool kit, which debuted at Tour Wilmette
• Attended The Walking Summit, Places for Bikes, and NACTO conferences
• Attended and presented at Go Green Illinois’ Transportation in the Suburbs presentations
• Helped ensure that bike advisory group was reactivated.
• Successfully advocated for village funding for a bike plan
• Investigated bike sharing options
• Introduced our website and changed our name from WCAT to Bike Wilmette
